About The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, immediate support and safety advice to victims and survivors of domestic abuse via the IDAS helpline.
  • Complete risk assessments and safety plans to reduce harm and support the wellbeing of individuals and their families.
  • Carry out holistic, client-centred needs assessments and make appropriate referrals to internal and external services, referring high-risk clients to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and represent them as needed.
  • Liaise with agencies such as housing, health, social services, police, and legal professionals to advocate for clients.
  • Participate in the delivery of both daytime and out-of-hours helpline services.
  • Support clients in making their homes safer and accessing refuge or counselling services where appropriate.
  • Highlight safeguarding concerns and report them in line with IDAS procedures.
  • Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.
