HubSpot Developer / Technical HubSpot Specialist
£60-70k
Hybrid
HubSpot underpins core operations across this organisation, supporting customer service, sales, retention, compliance and marketing functions.
We are seeking a technically proficient individual who can both develop on the platform and contribute to its strategic direction building custom solutions where standard configuration is insufficient, while maintaining a thorough understanding of HubSpot's evolving capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
- Design, build and maintain custom code within HubSpot, including custom workflow actions, serverless functions and custom objects
- Develop and maintain API-based integrations with third-party systems, such as identity verification platforms, Companies House and billing providers
- Take ownership of HubSpot projects from initial scoping through to build, testing and deployment
- Maintain integrations across the wider technology stack, ensuring data integrity and reliable synchronisation
- Diagnose and resolve issues within HubSpot workflows, automations and integrations, liaising with vendors and developers as required
- Produce clear documentation for all custom builds to ensure long-term supportability

Strategy and Capability Planning
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HubSpot's feature set across all Hubs and licensing tiers, including new and beta functionality
- Identify opportunities to replace manual processes or introduce new functionality through the platform
- Provide technical input into the HubSpot roadmap, including recommendations on build, buy or configure decisions
- Monitor developments across the wider HubSpot ecosystem, including the App Marketplace, partner integrations and AI capabilities
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with the Director of Operations to align technical development with the Continuous Improvement Programme and wider business priorities
- Act as the principal technical point of contact for HubSpot across Customer Service, Compliance, Company Secretarial, Retention and Outbound Sales functions
- Manage relationships with HubSpot and third-party development vendors, including the scoping and review of delivery
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior technical or CRM resource as the function develops

Experience
- Demonstrable experience building custom code on HubSpot, including custom coded workflow actions and serverless functions, and working with the HubSpot API
- Strong working knowledge of HubSpot CRM across multiple Hubs, including workflows, automation, custom objects and reporting
- Experience integrating HubSpot with third-party systems via API or middleware
- Ability to work independently in scoping and delivering technical solutions, while communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to assess business problems and determine the appropriate technical or platform-led response
- Relevant HubSpot certifications, such as CMS for Developers or Platform Consulting, are desirable
- Experience within a regulated, compliance-focused or operations-led environment is advantageous
- Familiarity with identity verification or KYC tooling, such as Onfido, is beneficial
- Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement methodology is desirable
- Front-end development experience, including JavaScript and HTML/CSS, for CMS or custom UI work is an advantage
