Position Description

At CGI, we are helping organisations reimagine how products, services, and experiences are designed through the intelligent application of human-centred design and AI-enabled innovation. You’ll be joining CGI’s UK Centre of Excellence for Human-Centred Design; a team we call Sparck.

As a Product Designer, you will play a key role in shaping solutions that deliver measurable outcomes, improve operational performance, and create meaningful user experiences. Working at the intersection of design, technology, and business transformation, you will help solve complex challenges, influence strategic decisions, and drive continuous improvement. Joining CGI means becoming part of a collaborative environment where you can take ownership of impactful work, explore innovative approaches, and grow your career while helping clients unlock the full potential of emerging technologies.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK ‘Best Employer’ by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will help shape the next generation of AI-enabled products, services, and operational experiences for a diverse range of clients. You will work across discovery, strategy, experimentation, delivery, and optimisation activities, applying human-centred design principles alongside AI-enabled approaches to solve complex business and user challenges. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will identify opportunities, generate insights, validate concepts, and ensure solutions deliver measurable value for users, organisations, and operational teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
