Human Resources Administrator - 6 Month FTC

HR Administrator – Fixed Term Contract (6 Months)

About the Role

Provide comprehensive HR administration and support to the site, ensuring efficient people processes, accurate records, and a positive employee experience, while contributing to the Sofina people agenda.


The Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing comprehensive administrative support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with managers and employees across the site, you will play a key role in:

  • Maintaining accurate HR records
  • Supporting the employee lifecycle
  • Coordinating engagement initiatives
  • Ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently and compliantly

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build HR experience within a supportive and collaborative team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of the employee lifecycle, including:
    • Starters, leavers
    • Contracts, inductions
    • Probation reviews
    • Exit processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company policies
  • Prepare contracts, letters, and documentation relating to employment changes
  • Coordinate family leave administration, including:
    • Maternity, paternity
    • Adoption, shared parental leave
  • Produce HR reports and weekly KPI data to support business decision-making
  • Provide first-line HR support:
    • Respond to queries
    • Direct colleagues as appropriate
  • Support employee engagement activities and wider HR initiatives across the site
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team for smooth departmental operations

The Ideal Candidate

Key Behavioural Competencies

  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused, with a proactive and professional approach
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, confident to work independently
  • Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information

Preferred Experience

  • 2–3 years’ administration experience, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing
  • Previous experience supporting HR processes or working within an HR team
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee records and HR systems
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification (or working towards) is desirable
