Location: Sittingbourne, Kent
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Full Time - On Site 5 days a week
Level 7 or Equivalent required for this role
Purpose

As a People Advisor, you'll play an important role in supporting our team members and leaders across our Sittingbourne sites. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about people, keen to develop their HR career and motivated by working in a purpose-led business where learning, growth and doing the right thing matter.

What You'll Be Doing
Working across COOK's four Sittingbourne sites, you'll:
- Be a friendly, approachable and trusted first point of contact for people-related queries.
- Build positive relationships with team members and leaders across the business.
- Support employee relations casework, helping leaders navigate people matters fairly, consistently and in line with COOK values.
- Assist with investigations, hearings and other people processes, developing your confidence and capability along the way.
- Provide practical guidance and support to leaders on day-to-day people matters, with support from the wider People team when needed.
- Prepare letters, documentation and records accurately, professionally and confidentially.
- Support Occupational Health referrals and associated processes.
- Help ensure a consistent and positive experience for team members across all Sittingbourne sites.
- Champion inclusion, wellbeing and a positive workplace culture.
- Support and deliver initiatives linked to our Culture Calendar and team member engagement activities.
- Contribute ideas that help us continuously improve the experience of being part of COOK.
- Continue developing your own HR and employment law knowledge through learning, coaching and practical experience.

You Might Be...
- Already working in HR, People or Culture and looking for broader experience.
- Supporting people processes and ready to take the next step in your career.
- Working in an operational environment and passionate about people, culture and creating brilliant places to work.
- Looking for a role where you can continue learning, growing and developing your confidence in employee relations and people advisory work.
Whatever your background, you'll likely enjoy this role if you:
- Enjoy working with people and building positive relationships.
- Are curious, proactive and eager to learn.
- Have strong communication skills and can adapt your approach to different situations and personalities.
- Balance empathy with pragmatism.
- Have good judgement and the confidence to ask questions when needed.
- Are organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple priorities.

- Want to continue developing your HR, people and leadership knowledge.
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience in an HR, People, advisory, administrative or operational role.
- Exposure to employee relations or people-focused processes.
- An understanding of UK employment law and workplace best practice.

This role operates across four sites within Sittingbourne, Kent, so regular travel between sites is expected. COOK is a 24-hour operation and occasional visits outside standard working hours may be required to support team members working across different shifts.
