My client, a leading Media and Litigation law firm, with stunning offices in the heart of the city, are looking for a dedicated and proactive HR Advisor to join their highly regarded HR team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a true generalist role, partnering with managers across both legal and business services functions. Joining a collaborative and forward-thinking organisation, you will play a key role in supporting people initiatives, driving engagement, and helping to foster an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and the wider People team, you will provide expert advice and guidance across the full employee lifecycle while contributing to strategic HR projects and firm-wide initiatives.

As HR Advisor, you will act as a trusted partner to managers and employees, providing practical and commercially focused HR support. You will contribute to the development and delivery of people strategies while ensuring HR policies, procedures and practices remain effective and compliant.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with managers to provide advice and guidance on performance management, employee relations and people-related matters.
  • Supporting organisational change initiatives and contributing to the delivery of wider people strategies.
  • Managing and supporting employee relations cases, working closely with senior HR colleagues where required.
  • Reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and employment legislation.
  • Producing and analysing HR data and metrics, identifying trends and recommending solutions.
  • Supporting annual performance review processes and talent development initiatives.
  • Assisting with graduate and early careers programmes, including recruitment activities, assessment centres and development programmes.
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives, helping to coordinate and evaluate training programmes across the business.
  • Leading and contributing to diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing projects, helping to drive engagement and positive cultural change.
  • Ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Coaching, mentoring and supporting junior members of the HR team.
  • Contributing to additional HR projects and initiatives as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
