Sheffield - Hybrid Working
12+ Month Fixed-Term Contract
£36,000 - £41,000 per annum
Looking for your next HR opportunity where you can make a real impact?
We're partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join a collaborative People team on a long-term fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an HR generalist who enjoys partnering with managers, handling complex employee relations matters and supporting organisational change within a fast-paced environment.
Working on a hybrid basis, you'll spend around three days a week in the Sheffield office, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week.
The Opportunity
As a trusted HR partner, you'll provide practical, commercially focused advice across the full employee lifecycle. You'll work closely with managers to resolve a broad range of people issues, ensuring policies are applied consistently while supporting a positive employee experience. Alongside day-to-day advisory work, you'll contribute to a variety of people projects and change initiatives, helping to drive continuous improvement across the HR function.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with managers to provide expert HR advice across a wide range of employee matters.
- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and wellbeing issues.
- Support organisational change activity, including restructures, redeployment, consultations and TUPE where required.
- Coach and develop managers to build confidence in people management and employment best practice.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure people processes are completed efficiently and compliantly.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
About You
We're looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building strong relationships and delivering pragmatic HR solutions.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
- Strong, hands-on employee relations experience with confidence managing cases independently.
- A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting managers within a large, complex organisation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Experience using HR systems and a CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous.
