Human Resources Advisor
HR Advisor – European Business
About the Role
As part of this highly successful global organisation, the European business is seeking an HR Advisor to join the team and provide generalist HR advisory support across the entire European division.
This role entails working closely with managers across regions to support their teams throughout every HR-related matter, acting as a trusted advisor in all stages of the annual HR cycle.
Flexible working arrangements will be in place for this position.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations for the region, the successful candidate will be responsible for (among other duties):
- Providing a generalist HR advisory service across the European division
- Collaborating with talent acquisition teams and supporting recruitment campaigns where applicable
- Working with wider HR colleagues to identify current HR challenges and implementing effective solutions
- Producing contractual documentation, including:
- Offer letters
- Employment contracts
- Variation-of-terms letters
- Supporting the enhancement of global HR information systems, including:
- Testing
- Training
- User support (acting as an internal advocate for the platform)
- Monitoring and reporting on HR metrics to inform decision-making
- Supporting the annual HR activity calendar, including:
- Pay reviews
- Performance reviews
- Objective setting
- Delivering European projects and initiatives upon request
- Conducting job architecture assessments to support employee development, compensation, and benefits strategies
- Driving diversity and inclusion initiatives across the division

Requirements
Ideal Qualifications & Experience
The role is open to graduates or those gaining early-professional experience in a HR-focused environment. Preferred candidates will have previously worked in a generalist HR advisory role.
-Preferably CIPD-qualified (whether currently certified or in the process of achieving this).
Essential Skills & Attributes
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Solid organisational and planning abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience in a complex or multinational organisation
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Working knowledge of HR information systems
- Mercer Job Architecture and SAP SuccessFactors experience (an advantage)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of high performance
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, and maintain productivity under pressure
