HR Advisor - Swindon (Hybrid)

Position: HR Advisor

Location: Swindon (Hybrid)

Contract Duration: 3 months

Pay Rate: Up to £375 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella)

About the Role

We're looking for an HR Advisor for a public sector organisation based in Swindon (hybrid) on an initial 3-month contract, paying up to £375 per day (Inside IR35, Umbrella). This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office in Swindon, one of which is a Wednesday.

Responsibilities

The successful HR Operations Advisor will:

  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of people-related matters, policies, and procedures
  • Manage employee relations casework including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases, coaching managers towards consistent, compliant, and pragmatic decisions
  • Support HR projects, organisational change, and continuous improvement, using HR data to identify insights and recommend actions

Requirements

You will need proven experience in the following:

  • Operational HR environment work
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience and knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence, challenge, and support stakeholders at all levels
  • Working independently, prioritising workload, and managing competing demands
  • Strong judgement and decision-making within policy and procedural frameworks
  • Building effective working relationships and collaborating within a team

Beneficial Experience

  • Experience using the Oracle Fusion HR system
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
