Human Resources Advisor
HR Advisor – Bootle
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR professional to join a growing business based in the Bootle area. Ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional employee support across the full employee lifecycle.
As a key member of the HR team, you will play a vital role in supporting managers and employees, driving recruitment activity, ensuring legal compliance, and fostering a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for all HR-related queries across the business
- Offer practical, compliant HR advice to managers and employees
- Handle employee relations cases, including:
- Disciplinary matters
- Grievances
- Absence management
- Performance reviews
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from advertising roles to onboarding new starters
- Coordinate inductions, probation reviews, and compliance checks for new employees
- Prepare contracts, process employment changes, and maintain accurate HR records
- Assist with payroll administration, including:
- Employee data collection (overtime, sickness, starters, and leavers)
- Support HR training and compliance activities
- Manage HR systems and training platforms, including onboarding and vetting workflows
- Support family-friendly policies, such as:
- Maternity/paternity leave
- Flexible working arrangements
- Parental leave requests
- Collaborate with managers and union representatives to align HR practices with business objectives
- Ensure full compliance with current employment legislation and company policies
