Role Description

The Human Resources Advisor role is a temporary, on-site position based in Southwold. The HR Advisor will provide day-to-day support to managers and team members, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Assisting with employee relations matters
  • Helping to manage performance and absence
  • Maintaining accurate HR records
  • Supporting HR-related communications
  • Contributing to the implementation of HR initiatives that align with Adnams’ values and sustainability-focused culture

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider HR team to ensure a consistent, fair, and compliant approach to people management.

Qualifications

  • Experience in core HR advisory activities, including employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Strong skills in recruitment support, onboarding processes, and candidate communication.
  • Proficiency in HR administration, including maintaining accurate personnel records and handling confidential information responsibly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of employment law and HR best practices; CIPD qualification or working towards it is an advantage.
  • Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Interest in or experience with sustainability-focused or values-driven organizations is beneficial.
