Alexander Lloyd Partnership Opportunity

Alexander Lloyd is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global pharma organisation, on the recruitment of a Human Resources Business Partner.

This is a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) and a high-profile HRBP role partnering with senior leaders across a designated business area, providing strategic and operational people support to drive business performance. Working closely with leadership teams, you will influence and shape people strategy, lead on talent and succession initiatives, provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, and use people insights and analytics to support key business decisions.

Duties:

  • Partner with senior managers to deliver people plans aligned to departmental and business objectives.
  • Provide strategic HR support and coaching to leaders across talent, performance, engagement, and organisational effectiveness.
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring objectives and development plans are in place across teams.
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent, succession plans, and retention strategies.
  • Oversee complex employee relations matters and provide guidance on organisational change initiatives.
  • Review workforce structures, skills gaps, and resourcing plans to support current and future business needs.
  • Support recruitment activity in partnership with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams.
  • Analyse workforce data and trends, providing insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and HR best practice.
  • Support the implementation of business-wide HR projects and change programmes.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Significant experience operating as an HR Business Partner within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations practices.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach, and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Commercially focused with experience aligning people strategies to business objectives.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, talent management, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR metrics and provide actionable insights.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences environments would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting multi-site or geographically dispersed teams preferred.
