About Our Client

We are responsible for the provision of HR Business Partnering Capabilities for our UK client. The role is offered on an initial temporary basis with the anticipation that it will become permanent. Candidates looking only for temporary work should not apply.

The HR Business Partner is a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, translating business priorities into practical people plans that enable performance, engagement, and growth. Working closely with leaders and the wider HR team, this role will provide commercially focused advice, challenge, and support across the full HR remit. The postholder will use insight, data, and sound judgement to drive effective decision-making, strengthen leadership capability, and help create a high-performing, inclusive, and future-ready organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Organisational Design and Workforce Planning: Partner with business leaders to shape effective structures, roles, and ways of working that support business strategy, improve productivity, and build organisational capability for current and future needs.
  • Talent and Succession: Lead talent reviews, succession planning, and development conversations to identify critical capability, strengthen leadership pipelines, and support retention of high-performing and high-potential colleagues.
  • Change and Transformation: Plan and deliver people-related change, including restructures, consultations, and TUPE activity, ensuring activity is legally compliant, commercially balanced, and delivered with clear communication and employee engagement.
  • Employee Relations and Risk Management: Provide confident, pragmatic advice on complex employee relations matters, balancing employment law, policy, commercial risk, and the desired employee experience.
  • People Insight and Data: Analyse people metrics, trends, and feedback across the relevant business areas to identify opportunities, inform leadership decisions, and measure the impact of people initiatives.
  • Leadership Coaching and Stakeholder Partnership: Build trusted relationships with leaders, coaching and challenging them to strengthen management capability, improve engagement, and embed consistent people practices across the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
