HR Business Partner
Leatherhead
Shape the employee experience in a business that's growing fast and putting people first.
This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional who wants more than policies and process. As HR Business Partner, you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders, a champion for employees, and a key contributor to building a workplace where people can perform at their best.
You'll join a business that values autonomy, continuous improvement and meaningful employee engagement, giving you the opportunity to influence decisions and make a visible impact across the organisation.
The Mission
As Bytes continues to grow, we're looking for an HR Business Partner who can help leaders navigate people challenges, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure our people practices evolve alongside the business. Working closely with managers, employees and the wider HR team, you'll provide practical guidance, drive positive workplace experiences, and help create an environment where people feel supported, heard and empowered to succeed.
What You'll Deliver
In your first 6–12 months, you'll:
- Partner with leaders and managers to build confidence in people management and employment best practice.
- Strengthen employee engagement through meaningful initiatives, feedback programmes and action plans.
- Support the resolution of complex employee relations matters fairly, consistently and confidently.
- Enhance HR policies and processes to ensure they remain effective, compliant and aligned to business needs.
- Drive wellbeing initiatives that support a positive, psychologically safe working environment.
- Use employee feedback and engagement data to identify opportunities for improvement and influence change.
- Contribute to the development of a high-performing HR function through collaboration, coaching and continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
