Human Resources Business Partner
People & Culture Business Partner
Location: London, E14 9SH Hours of work: 37.5 per week Contract Type: Fixed Term – 9 months
"About the Role"
We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to support a high-profile account, working closely with senior stakeholders from Key Account Portfolio Director down. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, delivering tailored guidance on people practices to foster strong team relationships, drive engagement, and support high performance.
Your work will be critical in managing organisational change, restructuring, and implementing people and culture strategies to align policies effectively—ensuring both the business and its people thrive in unison.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, including the Key Account Portfolio Director and their direct reports.

Performance & Cultural Leadership
- Drive business performance through people and culture strategies that enhance engagement, productivity, and retention.

- Partner across anonymities to support social value, environmental objectives, and health & safety priorities.

Employee Relations & Security
- Oversee day-to-day employee relations, including absence management, disciplinaries, and general HR matters across Hard & Soft FM operations.

Organisational Transformation
- Lead organisational design, restructuring, and workforce planning initiatives aligned with evolving business needs.

Complex Case Management & Risk Mitigation
- Provide guidance on escalated and complex cases, such as:
- Policy interpretation
- Employee relations management
- TUPE and union engagement

Risk Reduction & Compliance
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce risks around employment, compliance, and operational challenges.

Solution Design & Implementation
- Develop and embed P&C solutions that enhance organisational effectiveness, business growth, and a high-performance culture.
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in a People & Culture/HR Generalist role, with:
- Strong commercial acumen and judgement
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or working towards)
- Exceptional coaching skills, with experience:
- Developing managers
- Driving employee engagement
- Expertise in:
- UK employment legislation and its application
- Leading organisational change (restructures, TUPE transfers)
- Experience within a unionised environment
- Deep understanding of:
- People policies
- Best-practice frameworks
- Ability to build trust and influence at senior stakeholders levels
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with data (e.g., Excel)
- Full UK driving licence
