About the Role

VirtualResource (VR) is a boutique consultancy supporting companies with HR Transformation and optimisation of their HR operating model, processes, and systems.

We are seeking experienced HR Business Partner contractors to support a number of restructuring programmes across the UK and internationally. These are hands-on delivery roles requiring deep expertise in organisational change, with the ability to work at pace in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

You will act as a trusted partner to senior business leaders, providing expert HR counsel and end-to-end support throughout the full lifecycle of restructuring activity—from planning and consultation through to implementation and closure.

Key Responsibilities

Restructuring Project Management

  • Support leaders with organisational design and validation against agreed principles (e.g., spans and layers)
  • Deliver employee impact assessments
  • Produce consultation materials based on centrally developed resources
  • Engage with HR Country Heads globally to support local delivery
  • Train leaders on consultation processes and assessment & selection (A&S)
  • Support the opening of both collective and individual consultation and ensure compliance in other markets in partnership with local HR
  • Manage HR Q&A and counterproposals throughout the consultation period
  • Facilitate the assessment & selection process, utilising a Power App to support the process
  • Manage closure of consultation
  • Manage appeals
  • Ensure the issue of appropriate notifications and update HRIS accordingly

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
