About the Role
Department: HR Location: Hybrid – Mondays at Support Centre in Croydon, with regular visits to practices nationwide Compensation: £50,000 – £55,000 / year

As we expand rapidly, we’re seeking a passionate HR Business Partner to drive the people aspect of our growth strategy.
Job Purpose
As the HR Business Partner, you’ll be the critical link between our practice teams and our support centre, providing expert HR support across the entire employee lifecycle—from onboarding (clinical and non-clinical staff) to resolving complex employee relations, managing TUPE transfers, conducting investigations, settling grievances/disciplinary cases, resolving conflicts, and leading exit management.

Key Focus Areas:
- CQC/Regulatory Compliance: Upholding legal standards for a resilient, high-quality dental service.
- People Driven Growth: Aligning our group strategy with practice-level autonomy.
The ideal candidate thrives in highly regulated industries like dental/healthcare, with a keen understanding of its unique challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Legal Support
- Resolve sensitive HR cases (e.g., grievances, disciplinaries, non-performance) with UK employment law compliance.
- Serve as the go-to HR contact for practice managers, offering pragmatic, commercially minded advice.
- Guide management of GDC-registered professionals (e.g., dentists, nurses, hygienists) and coach practice teams in crisis resolution.
Practice & Strategic Oversight
- Translate group-wide HR initiatives into actionable plans for each practice.
- Monitor HR metrics (absence, headcount, turnover) to spot trends and propose improvements.
- Design and enforce a consistent onboarding experience across all locations.
Engagement & Development
- Gauge employee engagement using surveys and collaborate with managers to implement meaningful action plans.
- Develop people-focused strategies for franchises, acquisitions, and site openings.
Operational & Regulatory Skills
- Lead TUPE transfers for mergers/acquisitions, ensuring legal compliance and a positive staff experience.
- Integrate new practices into our HR system, policies, and cultural framework.
- Benchmark and refine HR strategies/policies to maintain compliance and scalability.
- Champion a retention & attraction culture aligned with our values.

Requirements
Education & Certification
- CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent experience), or accredited level.
Experience & Skills
- Proven HR Business Partner or generalist HR experience, preferably in dental/clinical environments.
- Fluency in UK employment law, ability to independently handle complex ER cases.
- Hands-on experience in regulatory compliance-based settings (TUPE transfers essential).
- Exceptional verbal/written communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills for HR metrics and strategic recommendations.
- Embrace a culture of data-driven, high-energy collaboration.
