About the Role

The Human Resources Business Partner (EU) will play a pivotal role in leading HR initiatives across multiple European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and Spain. This position demands strength in navigating complex environments,.fnregulatory compliance, and robust employee relations—with German and French fluency as essential requisites for collaborating with German Works Councils (Betriebsrat) and French CSEs.

Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational HR Partnering

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior European leadership, offering pragmatically aligned HR insights.
  • Provide end-to-end HR support covering the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment to offboarding.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to:
    • Develop organisational capability.
    • Drive workforce planning.
    • Align people strategies with business trajectory.

Employee Relations, Legal & Compliance

  • Ensure full legal compliance across Europe, including data protection (e.g., GDPR) and local labour laws.
  • Manage Employer of Record (EOR) aspects where applicable.
  • Handle complex employee relations, including disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievance processes.
  • Officers employer representative bodies (e.g., Works Councils, CSEs) across the region, ensuring consultative processes are accurate, compliant, and constructive.

Compensation, Benefits & Payroll

  • Lead annual compensation cycles, adjusting salaries and bonuses whilst maintaining alignment to market standards.
  • Partner with legal and payroll teams to uphold compliant implementation of:
    • Salary Grading.
    • Benefits programs.
    • Local statutory obligations.

HR Operations & Systems

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of employee data within Workday.
  • Generate data-driven HR reports and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Streamline HR processes to optimize efficiency, including handling mergers, restructuring changes, and transactional workflows.

Change Management & Projects

  • Spearhead cross-border HR projects (e.g., M&A integrations, digital transformation).
  • Ensure project consistency across European time zones.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder management and organizational adoption of change initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven HR Business Partner experience in a multi-country European setting.
  • Mastery of European labour regulations and employee representative bodies (e.g., Betriebsrat, CSEs).
  • Bilingual in English, German, and French (mandatory).
  • Strong background in using HRIS platforms.
  • Proven stakeholder management, problem-solving skills, and ability to navigate ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications (+Bonus Points)

  • Competency in Netherlands or Spanish.
  • Experience with Workday system.
  • Cross-cultural global command (preferably tied to a US-headquartered organization).
