Human Resources Business Partner
Human Resources Business Partner
Brief Description
As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will be a trusted strategic partner to the business, with a heavy emphasis on Operations (including Delivery, Support, and other functions). This role requires emerging leadership to influence business execution, coach senior management, and balance executive-level strategy with hands-on day-to-day employee relations, training, compliance, onboarding, and lifecycle administration.
Your success will depend on balancing tactical execution (administrative HR functions) with strategic advisory (consulting on people and organisational challenges).
Responsibilities
Business Strategy & People Operations
- Partner with business unit leadership to develop and execute People Operations strategies and roadmaps, aligning with long-term business objectives.
- Work closely with leadership on workforce planning, organisational design, and change management as the company grows and scales.
Employee Relations & Legal Compliance
- Serve as the primary investigator for complex employee relations issues, delivering fair, consistent, and legally compliant case resolutions.
- Advise stakeholders on local and international employment laws, mitigating risk while supporting business objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
