Job Details

  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2027
  • Salary: Band I SCP 44-47 (£55,609 - £59,027 per annum) plus excellent benefits

As an HRBP working in the Trust you will:

  • Be part of the senior HR management team, working with the Head of HR and wider HR Team to introduce, take ownership for and deliver wide ranging strategic projects
  • Provide employee guidance and support to management across all levels of the organisation and be the subject matter expert and HR lead for all ER cases – absence, grievance, disciplinary and performance management
  • Ensure harmonious industrial relationships with our Trade Unions
  • Coach, mentor and directly line manage members of the HR Team to support the achievement of the Trust’s objectives and individual’s growth and development
  • Bring fresh eyes and creativity to HR processes and practices to enhance colleague engagement and our retention rate
  • Make a difference to the lives of children and young people in Sandwell

About You

  • A senior HR professional with a background of working in a complex public sector environment CIPD qualified and educated to relevant degree standard or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstratable experience of pragmatic organisational change and ability to work in a fast pace organisation
  • Excellent generalist HR knowledge, including in-depth knowledge of HR practices and legislation, employment law and best practice
  • Experience of managing complex ER matters including employment tribunals
  • Previous project management experience, being able to manage own time effectively and to work to defined deadlines
  • Strong line managerial experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and be accountable for driving outcomes
  • Articulate communication style, with the ability to engage confidentially with all levels across the business and deliver complex communications transparently and effectively
  • A clear commitment to diversity and inclusion and a passion to drive these initiatives throughout the Trust
