About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our community hub, where strategic HR support and operational expertise meet. The ideal candidate will help build a competitive, people-focused company within the sector by focusing on talent, performance, and organisational development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Support: Provide day-to-day and strategic guidance to leaders, helping them address people challenges and fostering a competitive culture that attracts and retains talent.
  • Capability Development: Work closely with Operational colleagues and HR Ops Team Leader to ensure managers have the skills and tools needed for professional people management and organisational success.
  • Analytics & Insights: Use people analytics to identify workforce issues, sustainability concerns, and commercial risks in homes while ensuring resource alignment with budgets.
  • Workforce Planning & Development:
    • Create tailored talent plans to identify and address skills gaps, productivity challenges, and engagement issues (e.g., designing engagement initiatives for "Great Place to Work").
    • Forecast workforce needs (e.g., staffing vs. budget alignment) to ensure operational sustainability.
  • Business Impact & Performance: Design people solutions that support commercial objectives, drive high performance, and deliver strategic initiatives.
  • Implementation & Improvement:
    • Lead people-focused workstreams (e.g., acquisitions/divestments, TUPE).
    • Champion initiatives like myRewards, Work-Life Balance programmes, and Employee Assistance Plans (EAP), ensuring awareness and best possible outcomes.
  • Learning & Diversity: Support Learning & Development (L&D), Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I), and employee resource groups, actively gathering feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 4+ Years Experience: Demonstrated success in large-scale, multi-site organisations, preferably within Social Care, Health, or related sectors.
  • HR Qualification & Passion: CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified with a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Regulatory & Sector Knowledge: Solid understanding of employment law and sector-specific regulations (e.g., health/social care compliance) is essential.
  • Strategic & Operational HR: Evidence of delivering best-in-class HR support, blending commercial insight, strategic direction, and operational execution.
  • Attitude & Mindset:
    • Proactive, solution-focused, and resilient with a business-first approach.
    • Professional courage to challenge systems and impact change ethically and through inclusion.
    • Ability to diplomatically manage conflicts and sensitive issues, achieving positive resolutions.
  • Scope & Complexity Handling:
    • Experience in leading change initiatives while meeting deadlines.
    • Generalist HR knowledge covering engagement, talent, succession, rewards, and organisational design.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration Skills: Experience building consensus with internal/external partners, managers, and senior leadership.
