The Role

We are seeking a Human Resources & Compliance Administrator who will act as the central point of contact for employee and contractor lifecycle management, ensuring onboarding, offboarding and personnel changes are managed efficiently and consistently across the business. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate personnel, access and compliance records, coordinating Role Based Access Control (RBAC) permission groups, supporting ISO cyber and quality compliance activities and ensuring relevant documentation and audit evidence is maintained and readily available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of Job Descriptions to hire new staff and keep the existing job descriptions up to date.
  • Coordinate and administer employee and contractor onboarding activities, including onboarding documentation, inductions, mandatory training requirements and required personnel information.
  • Prepare, maintain and file relevant employee and contractor documentation, including agreements, call-off schedules, right-to-work checks, references, due diligence evidence, qualifications, certificates and CVs where applicable.
  • Manage Microsoft Azure security group memberships and maintain role-based access permissions in line with business requirements and job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate joiner, mover and leaver access control activities, ensuring access changes, licence updates, group membership changes and access removals are completed and evidenced.
  • Coordinate employee and contractor offboarding activities, including access removal, equipment returns, record updates and completion of auditable offboarding evidence.
  • Maintain HR, personnel, contractor, access and compliance records, including job descriptions, employee review information, organisational charts and people-related action trackers.
  • Monitor contractor agreements and fixed-term contract expiry dates, preparing extensions, renewals and amendments where required.
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and other management system requirements by maintaining personnel-related registers, records, procedures and audit evidence. Being responsible for compliance with ISO 27001’s Statement of Applicability controls that refer to HR.
  • Support the maintenance of the Staff Handbook, HSE Manual and associated HR, security and compliance policies.
  • Track mandatory training requirements and coordinate compliance, awareness and employee communication activities where required.
  • Assist managers with recruitment planning, role requirements, interview scheduling and recruitment record keeping.

  • Experience in HR administration, personnel administration, recruitment coordination or office administration.
  • Demonstrable experience handling confidential employee, contractor or personnel information appropriately.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with managers, employees, contractors and external parties.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and administration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, records and documentation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of UK employment processes, recruitment best practice, GDPR and information security principles would be beneficial.
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 27001, internal audits, external audits, onboarding, offboarding or Microsoft user and group administration would be desirable.
