HR Recruit is currently seeking an interim HR Director for an expanding software business. Reporting into the CEO, you will have accountability for a team. The purpose of the role is to stabilise and hand over to a permanent hire that they are currently recruiting for.
Role Responsibilities
- Keep the function running well through the transition; be the dependable operational leader the team relies on.
- Embed and operationalise the existing people processes, so the team and the business feel confident in what People delivers.
- Mentor and steady the team — a calm, credible presence.
- Hand over cleanly to the permanent leader.

Person Specification
- Has seen and run an efficient people-process machine, and can operationalise one at pace.
- Strong operational people/HR leadership; comfortable being hands-on in a lean team.
- Credible with a technical / engineering workforce; earns trust through substance.
- Comfortable in a founder-led, values-driven culture — a steward of an existing culture, not the author of a new one.
You must be available to start work early August. The client will consider candidates looking for 4 or 5 days. This is an on-site role based in Knutsford/Cheshire. The salary for the role is £150,000-£250,000.
