HR Generalist, Permanent, Chester, £30,000 - £35,000 plus excellent benefits.

Our client is a growing, forward-thinking organisation at an exciting stage of development. They are looking to strengthen their HR team with an experienced and proactive HR Generalist. This is a chance to join a supportive, close-knit team and play a pivotal role in supporting the people agenda during a time of growth and change.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting into the HR Manager
  • Provide hands-on HR support across a broad generalist remit
  • Covering employee relations, recruitment, performance management, payroll, and engagement activities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers, offering pragmatic HR guidance and ensuring processes are delivered effectively and in line with company policies and employment legislation

Requirements

  • Experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Confident handling casework, supporting recruitment activity, and partnering with leaders to drive performance and engagement
  • Monthly payroll duties include inputting payroll data and supporting with queries
  • A background in manufacturing or a similar environment would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build credibility quickly will be key to success
