Reporting To: HR Manager / HR Lead

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resource Intern to join our dynamic HR team. This is an unpaid internship designed to provide hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, and HR operations complying with applicable laws, including Sections 44-47 of the UK National Minimum Wage Act 1998, which exempts voluntary workers and work experience programs from wage requirements. In the US, this role aligns with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by focusing on educational benefit and voluntary participation. The intern only receives reimbursement for expenses (e.g., travel, client meals).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and posting job descriptions and openings.
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Maintaining and updating candidate databases in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Assisting in organizing employee engagement initiatives, including events and wellness programs.
  • Supporting efforts to foster inclusivity, diversity, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Identifying employee training needs and help create materials for internal workshops.
  • Coordinating training sessions by liaising with trainers, employees, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Tracking employee participation in training sessions and compile feedback for reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including onboarding and exit documentation.
  • Preparing reports on HR-related metrics such as attendance, attrition, and headcount.
  • Supporting the implementation of HR policies and ensure proper communication across teams.
  • Assisting in general administrative tasks, including drafting letters, emails, and presentations.
  • Helping draft and update HR policies and guidelines.
  • Participating in internal compliance checks to ensure adherence to local labor laws and organizational standards.
  • Research current HR trends, technologies, and best practices to provide insights and suggestions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
