You will play a pivotal role in shaping talent initiatives, workforce planning, employee engagement, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and organisational effectiveness.

Working in a sophisticated, fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, you will influence senior leaders and help deliver strategic HR initiatives that support both business growth and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning activities.
  • Drive action plans resulting from employee engagement feedback and surveys.
  • Ensure employees receive a positive and developmental career experience.
  • Support leaders through performance review and calibration processes.
  • Embed a culture of regular, honest and constructive feedback.
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in performance assessments, reward decisions and promotion outcomes.
  • Guide managers in setting meaningful objectives aligned to business goals.
  • Lead discussions around team structure, workforce planning and organisational design.
  • Partner with recruitment teams on hiring strategies, lateral recruitment and talent pipelines.
  • Monitor attrition trends and implement retention initiatives where appropriate.
  • Support early careers and qualification pathways to ensure a strong future talent pipeline.
  • Act as a key escalation point for complex employee relations matters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
