We’re seeking an HR Manager to drive our growth while maintaining a culture that attracts and retains top talent.
The Role
Our HR Manager must be dynamic, hands-on, and passionate about sports and community impact. This role involves leading HR strategy, culture building, and growth initiatives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for all business-wide matters.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit interviews.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, staff handbooks, and compliant documentation.
- Lead recruitment, including advert creation, interviews, and onboarding.
- Provide HR support to leadership and staff on all internal matters.
- Manage staff wellbeing activities, external welfare resources, and employee relations (grievances, disciplinary actions, performance).
- Organise training (first aid, fire marshals, compliance training) and supervision.
- Handle payroll, liaise with external processors, and manage employee data accuracy.
- Oversee the HR platform, onboarding, and report generation.
- Analyse staff trends and collaborate with leadership on HR strategies.
- Manage expense tracking and insurance renewals.
- Comply with UK employment laws, ensuring policies and documentation stay current.
- Conduct fire risk assessments, PAT testing, COSHH compliance, and more.
- Support staff wellbeing projects and social activities.

Requirements
- 3+ years of HR experience, ideally in a fast-growing SME or dynamic environment.
- CIPD Level 5+ or equivalent qualification in generalist HR management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, driven by results, objectives, and HR strategy.
- Enthusiasm for fitness, sport, and community-focused work.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and data-driven decision-making.
- Adaptable, energetic, and confident in cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to engage with all staff levels.
- Desirable: Experience in Workplace Health & Safety.
