Plas y Brenin, the National Outdoor Centre, invites applications for an HR Manager to contribute to their exciting development journey. The position is based at their Centre in Plas y Brenin, within the Eryri National Park. This includes the option to work 1 day per week from home.

- Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per year
- Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
- Location: In-person (majority of time at Plā y Brenin, Eryri National Park)
- Flexibility: Option to work 1 day per week from home

About Plas y Brenin
Plas y Brenin is the National Outdoor Leadership Centre, dedicated to supporting outdoor education and wrecking within inspiring landscapes across Gwynedd and England. As the first leader training centre in the UK, it has a long and decent history.
Currently, Plas y Brenin stands at a pivotal point: it seeks to asset in its remarkable surroundings, keeping at the forefront of training and development for future outdoor professionals.
Responsibilities
HR Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Playing a key role in strategic HR projects focusing on sustainable organisational development and talent growth.
- Collaborating to recruit and retain top clinicians and staff passionately aligned with our outdoor heritage and values.
- Leading professional development initiatives for outdoor staff and teams to ensure excellence and ambition beyond the academy walls.
- Driving effective HR policies, practice, member policies, and management systems in collaboration with Mountain Training.
- Enhancing and improving employee engagement through robust organisational metrics and excellent relationships.
- Demonstrating personal leadership and HR expertise in leaders and trainers.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or equivalent.
- Qualification: CIPD Level 5 (or related).
- Ability to relocate or reliably commute to Betws-y-coed LL24 0ET (preferred and highly likely).
- An enthusiastic approach toward employee welfare and continual professional improvement.
- Experience or enthusiasm in a charity or voluntary sector would be advantageous.
