HR Operations Manager
London (Hybrid Working)
£75,000 - £85,000 + package
We’re partnering with a highly respected Financial Services business to appoint an experienced HR Operations Manager into a pivotal transformation role within the People function.
This is far more than a traditional HR Ops position. Reporting into the Head of HR, you’ll play a key role in modernising and elevating HR Operations into a proactive, technology-enabled shared service function aligned to a broader business agenda focused on AI, digitisation, operational excellence and continuous improvement. With a focus on driving transformation across the organisation, this is an opportunity to shape the future of HR Operations within a regulated financial services environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll inherit a loyal and well-established HR Operations team and lead them through an exciting evolution, shifting towards a more strategic, insight-led and digitally enabled function. Key priorities will include:
- Driving simplification, optimisation and continuous improvement across HR Operations and utilising AI to support this.
- Embedding a proactive shared-services mindset across the team.
- Supporting the ongoing implementation and optimisation of a new HR system.
- Leveraging technology, automation and AI to improve service delivery and employee experience.
- Strengthening operational governance across regulated HR processes including SMCR and compliance requirements.
- Providing oversight and direction across Employee Relations activity in partnership with HR Business Partners.
- Building credibility and strong partnerships across a high-performing HR leadership team.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced HR Operations or Shared Services leader who combines strong operational rigour with a progressive, transformation-oriented mindset.
You’ll likely bring:
- Experience leading HR Operations / Shared Services teams within regulated financial services.
- A strong track record of agentic AI experience.
- A background in improving and redesigning HR processes and service delivery models.
- Strong HR systems and HRIS transformation experience.
- Confidence working with HR data, technology, automation and emerging AI capabilities.
- Exposure to regulated HR processes and governance requirements.
- The ability to lead through change while bringing teams with you in an engaging and supportive way.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the credibility to partner with senior HRBPs and leadership teams.
