Recruitment & HR Advisor

Greater Glasgow | £42,200 - £47,510 + Excellent Benefits | 12-Month FTC (Mat Cover)

Recruitment is at the heart of this role. But it's far from all of it.

Syme Drummond is delighted to be exclusively supporting a highly respected Scottish employer with the appointment of a Recruitment & HR Advisor to join their collaborative People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Recruitment will form the core of your remit, making up around 75% of the role. You'll closely support hiring managers, proactively source applicants, manage recruitment from briefing through to offer, and deliver an excellent applicant experience throughout.

Alongside recruitment, you'll also get involved in a range of operational HR activities, supporting employee lifecycle administration, HR projects and wider People initiatives. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment but doesn't want to lose the HR side of their role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across the Central Services functions.
  • Building strong relationships with hiring managers and acting as their recruitment partner throughout the hiring process.
  • Proactively sourcing applicants using LinkedIn Recruiter and other direct attraction methods.
  • Managing interviews, recruitment administration, ATS activity and reporting.
  • Delivering an excellent applicant experience from first conversation through to offer.
  • Supporting day-to-day HR activity, employee lifecycle administration and wider HR projects.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to support business priorities as they evolve.

About You

You'll already have experience within an internal recruitment, HR Advisor or blended Recruitment & HR role and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Strong end-to-end recruitment experience.
  • Experience sourcing applicants directly using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar platforms.
  • Generalist HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for delivering a great applicant experience.
