Human Resources Specialist
About the Company
We are looking for a detail-oriented HR Specialist / Recruiter with solid knowledge of UK employment laws to manage end-to-end recruitment, employee lifecycle (onboarding, offboarding, terminations), and HR compliance for our retail operations in London. This role requires regular store visits and close collaboration with managers to ensure operational excellence and employee engagement.
About the Role
This role involves managing the full-cycle recruitment process and ensuring compliance with employment laws while fostering a positive employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job posting, screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer negotiation
- Support high-volume hiring using diverse sourcing channels
- Handle onboarding and offboarding, ensuring compliance with:
- Employment Status Act (ESA)
- Privacy laws
- Coordinate training, track compliance certifications, and identify employee development needs
- Act as the first point of contact for:
- Employee relations
- Workplace issues
- Policy-related questions
- Maintain HRIS data, prepare reports, and support process optimisation
- Ensure all HR practices comply with UK employment standards

Qualifications
- Diploma or higher qualification in:
- HR, Business, or a related field
- 1–3+ years of HR experience, preferably in retail with experience in high-volume recruitment
- Bilingual proficiency in English & Mandarin with strong communication skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Employment Status Act (ESA)
- UK Human Rights Act
- Relevant employment laws
- Skills in organisation, problem-solving, and confidentiality
