Job Title: Administrative Assistant to Human Resources
Job Location
Liverpool Office, Liverpool, NY 13090
Salary Range
$23.09 per hour (full-time)
Position Summary
This is a full-time position focused on providing administrative support and assistance specifically to Human Resources (HR).
Duties and Responsibilities
Support HR operations and employee services:
- Assist in entering personnel information into Paycom, eVero, and Relias
- Update employee terminations in Paycom and eVero as needed
- Assist employees with employee self-service in Paycom
- Create new employee files
- Develop and maintain pay rate sheets for tracking
- Support the new hire process, including:
- Setting up fingerprinting appointments
- Completing background checks
- Assist employees with disability benefits, including:
- DBL (Disability Benefits Law)
- FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act)
- PFL (Paid Family Leave)
- Collaborate with individual mentees or Circle of Support to complete mentor evaluations
- Handle departmental mailings
- Participate in HR internal audits
- Stay informed on changing DOL (Department of Labor) regulations

Employee Relations & Customer Service
- Provide customer service to employees via phone, email, or in person
- Answer questions, clarify policies, and direct information confidently
- Participate in organizational events when applicable
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree: Associates in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Experience:
- At least 1 year in an HR office environment
- Knowledge of NYS employment law preferred
Technical & Software Skills
- Experience with MS Office (Word/Excel) or ability to learn new software
- Familiarity with web-based payroll systems preferred but not required

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and in a flexible team environment
- Confidentiality understanding—protecting employee and client information
- Organizational abilities, including handling multiple tasks and priorities
Preferred Knowledge
- Familiarity with disability-related processes
- Understanding of office procedures and equipment

Physical Abilities
Must meet the following requirements for daily job tasks:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, reach, and use hands fully
- Tolerates moderate noise levels and distractions
