Humanities Teacher - Full Time - Long term contract

Location: Amersham, Buckinghamshire

School: 'Good' school rated by OFSTED

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Start date: September 2026

Salary: Pay to Scale - M1-UPS3 - £34,398 - £52,490

The Role:

  • Teach Humanities subjects to Key Stage 3 and 4 students (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on your specialism).
  • Foster a positive learning environment that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Support students in reaching their full potential, both academically and personally.

What We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with a degree in a Humanities subject (History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field).
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus but not essential).
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
