Key Responsibilities
What would you do day-to-day?
- Ensure game content is linguistically accurate, culturally appropriate, and bug-free, delivering a seamless user experience
- Conduct in-game text review for linguistic accuracy and cultural correctness
- Follow the Universally Speaking LQA process, applying professional standards optimized for the games industry
Your work will encompass:
Core Duties
- Report bugs in both written and detailed '{bug databases}' supported by industry-best testing tools
- Take ownership of bug reports, ensuring fixes are correctly implemented
- Build LQA expertise across a broad range of projects, from Indie to AAA
- Create, manage, and execute comprehensive test cases throughout the project lifecycle
- Document testing practices and process improvements in line with industry standards
Collaboration & Improvement
- Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to align testing efforts with project features
- Contribute ideas for efficiencies and improvements in workflow
- Collaborate closely with the QA team on a proactive basis

- The quality, precision, and velocity of bug reports
- On-time delivery of tasks

- Continuous improvement of LQA workflow and techniques

Requirements
Essential
✔ Hungarian national (only applicable candidates supported) ✔ Fluent written and spoken English ✔ Passionate about video games ✔ Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and thrive in a team-driven environment ✔ Proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic ✔ Attention to detail with a focus on quality ✔ Basic computer literacy: - Familiarity with MS Office Suite - Database handling and record keeping ✔ Willingness to work from our offices in central Liverpool ✔ Right to Work in the UK
Useful (but not essential)
✅ Experience with:
- Localisation QA, translation, or proofreading
- Software tools for LQA (test case management, text editing tools)
✅ Knowledge of:
- CAT tools (MemoQ preferred)
- Video game industry trends
✅ Education (desirable):
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in linguistics
