Job Purpose:
Are you passionate about shaping the future of the energy sector and eager to play a key role in our HV Operations? We are seeking a HV Operations Manager to drive the development and market presence of our client’s HV Operations. This role presents an opportunity to become a recognised leader in a critical, bustling, and competitive market.
Responsibilities:
- Develops business opportunities with existing clients and reviews pipeline plans
- Lead all early project discussions with clients from a design and delivery point of view
- Work closely with the BD team on developing business opportunities with new clients
- Escalation point for Clients and ensures client satisfaction during the project lifecycle
- Negotiate any potential Variations with clients that the project team may be struggling with. Ensuring any EOT’s or Escalations are handled correctly with a collaborative approach.
- Ensuring clients are kept informed during the tender stage or during validation periods to ensure that they are not surprised by any cost uplifts, program or major lead time issues.
- Working closely with clients at the LOI/LNTP stage to ensure future project dates can be met and managing their expectations on project deliverables.
- Leads a team of one or more project managers, commercial managers and lead engineers.
- Receives regular reports from the project manager, commercial manager, lead engineer and/or team leads to monitor project performance
- Has the authority to make changes to the project program and resources
- Attends all major project and principal meetings with clients, attends Monthly internal project meetings and ensures the project team are carrying out an appropriate level of internal meetings.
- Attends all weekly review meetings as much as possible.
- Ensuring Eastgate Engineering polices/standards are maintained on the project
- Ensures the project team is working efficiently with the supporting departments, safety, procurement, quality, and planning.
- Reports project performance to the Managing Director
- Manages project risks with project teams
- Escalate any site issues to the Operations director or the regional Operations Manager
- Ensuring project commercials are accurate and processes are being followed
- Involved heavily at the sub-contractor appointment stage to ensure no scope gaps
- Review all contract documentation prior to contract signing (program is correct, milestone schedule is correct, Scope of work is clear, and risk register is up to date from the estimating team)
- Assists Operations Director/Manager in ensuring adequate labour is on the project and a suitable project team is in place for the duration of the job
- Has Overall accountability for their project’s success alongside his respective Project Manager.

Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:

- Degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent operational/technical expertise.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in HV operations, with a background in HV Operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HV Operations’ inspection and monitoring practices, technologies, and client needs.
- Proven experience in leading innovation.
- Leadership experience in HV Operations.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with industry peers and clients.
- A proactive, curious, and courageous approach to exploring new opportunities and delivering solutions.
- Cable pull-in Services
- Experience in EHV/HV/LV Installation, Termination & testing up to 235KV
