Experienced HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer – Manchester & Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Open to full-time or part-time roles
Rate: GBP 200 – GBP 300+ per day (dependent on experience and skill level)
Location: Manchester and surrounding areas (0161 area code)
Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC / Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. We are flexible with working arrangements to accommodate the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Commissioning – Perform high-quality installations of air conditioning systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintenance & Servicing – Conduct scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
- Fault Finding & Diagnostics – Use advanced diagnostic skills to troubleshoot complex system faults and electrical/mechanical failures efficiently.
- Reactive Repairs – Carry out efficient repairs, component replacements, and system testing.

Requirements
Essential
- Technical Background – Proven hands-on experience in air conditioning installation, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Industry Certifications –
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., F-Gas Category 1 certification).
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Work Ethic –
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously.

Desirable (but not mandatory)
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems (a significant advantage).
