Role Overview
We are recruiting an HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team based in Skegness. The successful candidate will perform both electrical and mechanical maintenance across plant, equipment and building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manage risks associated with onsite equipment, including critical spares and plant performance improvements.
- Manage environmental conditions via the BMS system and ensure plant and equipment operate efficiently.
- Use new technologies and equipment to maintain a safe, comfortable working environment, liaising with the client on reactive and planned tasks.
- Carry out fault-finding on a wide range of HVAC plant and equipment, with a strong focus on VRV/VRF systems.
- Work safely with refrigerants, ensuring compliance with F-Gas handling requirements.
- Support team members on Health & Safety matters.
- Act as Energy Champion and assist as Safety Champion when required.
- Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance team.
- Prepare, follow and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Complete all required documentation in line with legislative and company standards.
- Use mobile devices to manage, record and complete tasks via the CAFM system.
- Plan daily work using email and calendar tools to ensure efficient task completion.
- Liaise with the onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to resolve building services issues.
- Deputise for the Site Supervisor during periods of absence.
- Work overtime when required, including nights and weekends if necessary.
- Supervise and manage subcontractors as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency response.
- Undertake additional ad-hoc duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications Required

- Recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
- Strong, proven experience in HVAC maintenance.
- Mechanical qualifications to a City & Guilds standard.
- Good multi-skilled capability.
- Strong fault-finding skills.
- Ability to supervise contractors.
- Competence in producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Ability to prepare and understand permits and safe systems of work.
- F-Gas certification and experience working with refrigerants.
Desirable Qualifications
- Working at Height qualification.
- IPAF / PASMA certification.
- AP qualifications.
- Experience with BMS systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls.
