Overview
Airco are looking to recruit an experienced Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Service Engineer, with a positive and proactive approach to ensure effective service delivery to our clients.
We work for a prestigious customer base in a wide range of sectors including; pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare & local authorities.

What Will You Do…
- Install a range of air conditioning & refrigeration equipment including but not limited to: split systems, multi split systems and VRV/VRF systems within clients' premises.
- Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions.
- Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate and control all documents associated with reactive & planned preventative maintenance works.
- Liaise closely with the client (Domestic & Commercial clients) to maintain excellent stakeholder relationships.
- Work in a safe and controlled manner following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client specific site requirements.
- Take part in the on-call rota to support the business achieve its 24/7/365 response.
- Meet & maintain high quality standards.
- Communicate with the necessary stakeholders when required.
- Complete any and all necessary paperwork.
- Review RAMS produced and ensure you manage and maintain any risk, controls in the working environment to maintain colleagues and the publics safety.
- Conduct onsite risk assessments before completing any work.
- Raise project concerns with project manager.

Who Are We Looking For…
- A highly experienced Refrigeration & Air conditioning engineer, with a minimum NVQ Level 2 qualification in Refrigeration & Air conditioning, you will be F-Gas/EN 378 compliant.
- An individual who has previously worked with VRV’s, Coldrooms, Close Control and Chilled water systems.
- You will be used to working unsupervised.
- Have a high level of interpersonal skills to be able to build relationships with clients.
- Ideally you will have good electrical competence including the ability to read wiring schematics and test control circuits.
- You will have a “can do” attitude, you will enjoy working to deadlines, be focused, passionate about your work and have the ability to work under pressure when needed.
- You will be willing to work away from home (if required), be flexible with your working hours and work patterns as night work may be required occasionally.
- Full Driving licence.
- Please note you must be able to achieve a DBS certificate.
