Woodward & Co. are looking to add enthusiastic Mechanical Services Contracts Engineers to our expanding team.
We are a mechanical services engineering company who specialise in all aspects of the design and installation of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Water services of buildings nationwide in the retail, leisure and commercial sectors.
We pride ourselves in our ability to deliver first class service to our clients in a proactive manner, regardless of the challenges presented.
The successful candidate will have a passion for engineering and problem solving and will be excited about the prospect of working in a role that will also take them to sites around the country on a regular basis.
We have opportunities in our contracts division for an experienced Contracts Manager reporting to the Directors.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design Liaise with our internal design department to ensure that schemes are designed in accordance with the client's brief and mechanical specifications.

Procurement Responsible for the procurement and ordering of all necessary items of plant, equipment, materials and specialist sub contract packages to suit the requirements of the project programme.

Project management Responsible for the day to day running of projects as required to ensure that all works proceed in a timely manner and to the highest possible standards of installation and health and safety.

Financial management Responsible for the day-to-day cost management of the project(s) to ensure that cost and cash control measures are observed and that projects perform to the requirements of the Directors.
About you:
- Previous experience working as design and contracts engineer, preferably with retail, leisure or commercial projects
- Technical knowledge HVAC engineering processes is vital.
- Computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
- Well-developed presentational skills.
- Strong negotiating and man management capabilities
- Proactive, enthusiastic personality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An excellent eye for detail, taking pride in your work
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Have a UK driving licence.
- Preferably a HNC/D or degree in building services.
