Let’s Talk About The Role

The Capture Team Leader (CTL) leads the tendering and sales lifecycle for GSI Large & Complex projects, with a strong focus on HVDC opportunities, ensuring commercially robust, strategically aligned bids.

You will be responsible for orchestrating all non-technical global business disciplines required to secure major opportunities, acting as the central driver of tendering strategy, pricing governance, and commercial and legal negotiations. Operating as the primary interface with external customers and partners throughout the tendering process, the CTL ensures that every bid is aligned with internal validation requirements and the Delegation of Authority, while cultivating strong, trust-based relationships that position the organisation for long-term success. This role blends strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and stakeholder leadership to maximise win probability on complex, high-value projects.

Your Impact

  • Drive commercial strategy — Deliver order intake, contribution margin and cash targets by shaping winning commercial approaches for large and complex tenders.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary tender teams — Coordinate regional commercial teams, product groups, Grid Solutions businesses and consortium partners to produce high-quality, on-time proposals.
  • Shape winning bid strategies — Define competitive positioning, target costing and value differentiation to maximise win probability while ensuring executable, profitable deals.
  • Own customer and partner engagement — Build trusted relationships, drive clarifications, and lead negotiations with customers and consortium partners through to contract signature.
  • Ensure governance and risk rigour — Lead deal reviews, secure approvals within Delegation of Authority, and uphold ITO policy, risk management and compliance standards.
  • Develop high-performing teams — Provide hands-on leadership, attract talent, and cultivate a culture of excellence across ITO tendering teams.
  • Improve processes and performance — Enhance productivity, proposal throughput, cost accuracy and cycle times while contributing to global simplification and continuous-improvement initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
