HV/MV Electrical Design Engineer, HV Design Engineering EMEA

Elevate Power Infrastructure at the Forefront of Global Technology

We're seeking an innovative electrical design engineer to revolutionise critical infrastructure that powers global technological advancement. You’ll be instrumental in designing electrical systems that support Amazon’s mission of transforming how the world connects, computes, and innovates.

  • Ensure customers gain seamless, continuous access to innovation
  • Solve complex supply chain challenges with thousands of variables

You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of specialists—including software, hardware, security, supply chain, and operations experts—to achieve highest standards of reliability and performance. Join a culture that champions bold ideas, ownership of outcomes, and success through inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Core Technical Work

  • Design and manage high- and medium-voltage substation systems globally
  • Develop electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software
  • Specify optimal electrical equipment in collaboration with vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers
  • Create detailed construction documents and technical specifications aligning with rigorous industry standards
  • Oversee projects from site selection through commissioning and system validation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
