An exciting opportunity has arisen for two ambitious and committed individuals to join as a Business Development Manager, with a hybrid focus of internal and external business development efforts and activity. Working as part of the Business Development team, these roles will assist in raising the profile of Puma Investments and its range of investment offers.
The primary focus will be on developing existing and new relationships with wealth managers and IFAs. One role will cover the East Midlands, whilst the other will cover East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities
- Offering ongoing support and management to our clients (current and prospective)
- Liaising with internal and external parties to ensure effective communication relating to inbound contact, requests for literature and investor information
- Handling telephone queries from financial intermediaries and actioning as appropriate
- Responsibility for helping to increase fundraising through proactive measures such as cold calling to arrange meetings and any initiatives agreed with the Head of Business Development
- Attending and speaking at roadshows and events alongside and acting as an ambassador for the Puma Investments business
- Working closely with the Client Relations, Operations (Client Onboarding and Fund Operations & Data), and Marketing team
- Gathering of feedback via the adviser market to help develop new products and sales and marketing campaigns
- Contributing to the delivery of regional, quarterly fundraising targets

Experience and Skills required
- Proven experience in a sales role working with intermediaries (particularly IFAs), ideally in respect of tax-efficient products
- Demonstrable client relationship management and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work
- Experience in working towards and exceeding targets and KPIs
- High quality consultative sales skills and approach
- Ability to build and grow own bank of clients (advisers)
- The drive and attitude to excel in a sales-based environment whilst maintaining high levels of client services and integrity
- Previous experience of working with CRM systems (ideally Dynamics)
- Sound commercial knowledge
