Overview

Our International Beverage marketing team focuses on Brand Strategy, Communications, activation, and Innovation globally for our biggest brands. The Marketing Manager on Performance Hydration will work with the Director Performance Hydration, with a focus on developing a winning consumer portfolio for non-sports hydration platforms and enable rapid launch and expansion across IB markets.

Responsibilities

  • Deep Insight Mining & Consumer Understanding

    • As the steward for developing a strong globally relevant proposition, this role will be responsible for delivering strong consumer-anchored ‘globally unified but locally relevant’ solutions. Work would entail mining consumer Demand Spaces, developing market-relevant concepts & propositions, identifying winning consumer insights, and so on.
  • Development of E2E Plans

    • Support Development of the Brand Strategy
      • Brand pulse, Brand archetypes, Brand distinct assets
    • Support Development of a Brand Mix Across Different Anchor Markets in IB
      • Concept development, Product development with R&D, Packaging design development, Communication platform.
  • Develop & Execute Iconic Consumer Engagement Platforms

    • Identify key ‘lifestyle forward’ brand activation platforms.
    • Develop & execute scale global programs against the engagement platform.

  • Demonstrate Understanding of Key Business Levers in All Decision Making

    • P&L understanding to effectively recommend solutions on pack price
    • Franchise model understanding to support effective pitch to bottlers.
  • Leadership

    • Drive collaborative relationship with the cross-functional partners across Insights, PR, Legal, Design, and R&D as well as Regions and to ensure their input is considered at each stage of the project, setting it up for in-market success.
    • Spearhead monthly global meetings with the key markets: setting the agenda, managing the presentation materials, and ongoing tracking & updates on key initiatives.
    • Ownership of the relationship with agencies who can have a role to play in ensuring the initiative is set up for success.
  • Innovation

    • Identification of strategic opportunities that can unlock future growth for the brand where Innovation has a role to play.
    • Collaborate with Innovation, Insights, Commercialization, Finance, R&D, and Supply Chain to develop the feasibility of each initiative and ensure it can be successfully launched at a local level, including management of the project through the Global stage gate process.

Qualifications

  • 7-11 years of marketing experience within the CPG/Beverages industry (strong digital background); forward-looking marketer who believes in the power of transformation to turnaround brands.
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of the beverages industry and understanding of franchise model.
  • Experience managing agency partners to deliver strong insights, concepts & development of consumer propositions.
  • Experience managing agency partners to deliver brand experiences and engagement platforms.
  • Experience leading internal cross-functional teams to develop and launch new programs/platforms.
  • Digital forward thinker while being highly motivated, analytical, and decisive leader.
  • Strong collaboration & influencing skills – must align markets/regions with different priorities and agendas to a common approach they feel good about.
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences.
