Our Grocery Service Centre, based near Liverpool, is a hub for transactional activity across multiple ABF companies within the ABF Grocery division. Supporting some of our well-known brands such as Kingsmill, Pataks, Blue Dragon, Jordans, Ryvita and Silver Spoon, amongst others. We deliver Shared Service activities across a wide range of disciplines including Customer Services, Consumer Care, Finance, Payroll, HR and IS.

Overview Of Role

Location: Stockport

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Hygiene FLM with strong leadership skills to drive success across the team to achieve fantastic results. You will ensure an efficient and effective delivery of hygiene across the site to ensure visual and food safety standards, and safeguard compliance with all customer and regulatory standards and requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Leading the hygiene team to ensure site hygiene levels are maintained to a high standard.
  • Supervising, monitoring, and improving standards of working, including overseeing the hygiene schedule, implementing procedures, providing training, leadership, coaching and mentoring where required.
  • Contribute to successful customer and 3rd party visits and audits
  • Identify, challenge, and deliver continuous improvement measures in all aspects of the hygiene function.
  • Measuring hygiene standards and assessing materials and staff resource needs to ensure maximum effectiveness.
  • Recruiting to agreed budgets and daily employee management
  • Supporting the health & safety and Quality culture
  • Management and achievement of KPI’s
  • Promote a culture of high standards of conduct and performance

The Right Person

  • Have completed or be willing to complete the IOSH Managing Safely programme, HACCP and Food Hygiene level 3.
  • Experience in hygiene operations of a Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and or experience of pest control advantageous.
  • Experience of leadership, motivation, and cultural change management in a team setting
  • Good understanding of the hygiene process and systems and their impact on performance in terms of efficiency, quality, materials, and equipment is advantageous.
  • The ability to think logically, multi-task and meet results-driven deadlines whilst managing in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills at all levels of operations
  • Confident using IT
