Hygiene Machine Setter
We are looking for a Hygiene Machine Setter to join our Hygiene team at JDM Food Group.
This is a site-based role at our Bicker facility, reporting to the Site Hygiene Manager, working on a 2/2/3 shift pattern from 17:00 to 05:00, with an hourly rate of £15.53.
In this role you will support the hygiene team by safely stripping down, cleaning and rebuilding production machinery following hygiene cleaning operations. You will play an important part in ensuring machines are cleaned to the required standards and correctly rebuilt so that production can start safely and on time.
Working closely with Hygiene, Engineering and Production teams, you will help ensure equipment is handled safely, cleaning tasks are completed properly and machines are ready for the next production shift.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
