Hygiene Manager

My client, a successful food manufacturer based in the Staffordshire area, is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager/Supervisor, due to the business’s continued expansion.

You will:

  • Lead the Hygiene team
  • Ensure that the hygiene function operates smoothly on site

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Training of the hygiene staff
  • Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement
  • Responsible for Audit schedule
  • Dealing with chemical and product suppliers
  • Open to the ordering of new equipment to establish how the hygiene team operates
  • Coordinate machinery strip-down and deep cleaning
  • Hold budgetary responsibility

Skills and Experience

  • Level 3 Food Safety and Health & Safety qualification
  • Experience in high-risk, high-care environments
  • Hygiene leadership with a proven successful track record
  • Experience conducting internal and third-party audits
  • Ability to manage a team and set/report KPIs
  • Essential: experience in food manufacturing
  • Ability to disassemble and reassemble machinery
  • Strong communication and organisation skills

  • On offer:
