About the Grocery Service Centre
The ** Liverpool-based** facility operates as a hub for transactional activity within ABF Grocery, supporting brands like:
- Kingsmill

- Silver Spoon
We specialise in shared services, delivering support across:
- Customer Services

Join Our Team
Role Overview
- Location: Stoke, Newcastle-under-Lyme
- Hours: 24 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Salary: £16,361 per annum
The Hygiene Operative Role
Responsibilities
As a Hygiene Operative, your key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring facilities, equipment, and infrastructure meet high cleaning standards, prioritising safety-first.
- Adhering to daily schedules and maintaining assigned areas to tight standards.
- Contributing to teamwork and supporting departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identifying potential food safety risks and raising/Acting on them.
- Reporting defects or hazards to the Hygiene Controller/Coordinator.
- Managing deliveries of work wear from the Laundry.
- Assisting with waste reduction, including bakery and returns waste removal.
Expanding on Specific Tasks:
- Site perimeter care: Cleaning and litter picking.
- Facility maintenance: Replenishment and deep cleaning.
- Staff support: Caring for and cleaning the canteen and surrounding areas.
The Right Person for This Role
We’re looking for candidates with:
✅ Experience in health and safety awareness. ✅ Familiarity with COSHH regulations and the safe use of chemicals. ✅ Previous experience in Hazards/Near Miss reporting. ✅ A proud, diligent attitude—ensuring a quality work environment daily. ✅ Ability to deliver high standards across multiple functions. ✅ Industrial cleaning experience (or similar), with a focus on:
- Attention to detail
- Rigorous adherence to procedures
- Ability to adapt cross-functionally.
