Hygiene Operative (Cleaner) - PT or FT

Hygiene Operative – Distribution Centre (Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Hygiene Operative to join our team at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. This role focuses on enhancing our hygiene programme to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. We offer permanent full-time positions with flexible weekly 5-day shifts, including at least one weekend day. Part-time opportunities on Saturdays and Sundays are also available.

Shift Patterns

We operate various shifts to meet demands:

  • Day shift: 06:00 – 14:00
  • Late shift: 14:00 – 22:00
  • Late shift: 16:00 – 00:00

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong work ethic, initiative, and the ability to maintain high hygiene standards while collaborating effectively with our warehouse team.


Pay, Hours & Benefits

Pay Rates

  • Day shift: £13.69 per hour (£10.90 for candidates under 21)
  • Afternoon/Late/Night shifts: £14.85 per hour (£12.35 for candidates under 21)
  • Overtime opportunities are available for those looking to increase earnings.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will include (but is not limited to):

  • Daily warehouse cleaning (emptying bins, operating waste compactors)
  • Collecting and segregating recyclable materials efficiently
  • Using a bailer for waste management
  • Quickly addressing safety hazards (spills, trip risks)
  • Recording and reporting damage to reduce waste
  • Maintaining yard cleanliness
  • **Operating a Counterbalance
