We have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene Operative to join our Night Shift Team at our King's Lynn site.

Successful candidates will join us on a full-time shift pattern on a temporary contract basis, working Monday to Friday from 22:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

As a Hygiene Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring that work areas, machinery, and equipment are cleaned to the highest standards, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment and ensuring all cleaning schedules are completed effectively.

Full training will be provided, including COSHH training, enabling you to safely handle and use cleaning chemicals in line with company procedures.

You will work either independently or as part of a team, depending on operational requirements. Duties may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and within both cold and warm environments, while ensuring compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, Health & Safety, and Food Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean production areas, machinery, and equipment to the highest hygiene standards
  • Follow cleaning schedules and complete all assigned tasks efficiently
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals following COSHH procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment at all times
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Carry out hygiene duties in production and factory environments as required

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working within a Hygiene Department
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy skills
  • Practical and manual handling skills
  • Basic Health & Safety and Food Safety awareness

  • A hands-on approach to solving issues

Previous hygiene experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
