- Starting salary: £26,655 per annum (plus a £2,000 annual allowance)

The Hygiene Technician Role: What You’ll Do
As a Specialist Hygiene Technician, your work will keep properties safe, sanitary, and free from biohazards. With full training provided, you’ll deliver high-quality services across a range of environments, including:
Key Responsibilities

Emergency & Reactive Cleaning
- Biohazard cleanup (including sharps removal, trauma and crime scene decontamination)
- Flood water damage restoration & decontamination
- Infection control and medical waste management

Specialised High-Risk Environments
- Police and prison cell cleaning (to ensure health and safety standards)
- Factory and industrial cleaning (including silo and high-level cleaning)
- Non-destructive techniques for sensitive spaces

Customer-Focused Support
- Work independently in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Provide on-call services (paid at an enhanced rate)
- Offer expert advice to customers on hygiene and cleaning solutions
- Standout customer service—maintain a professional, trustworthy image at all times

Adaptability & Reliability
- Work in a reactive field where tasks can change week to week
- Handle multiple locations within your allocated territory
- High-stress environments—ensure strong problem-solving skills

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Essential Criteria
✔ Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years, with no more than 6 penalty points
✔ Self-motivated & proactive – ability to work independently and under pressure
✔ Reliable – availability to cover on-call duties and adjust to variable workloads
